Recently, I was involved in a minor car accident. The police was called at the scene and my insurance company was notified. The other driver who hit my car was not the owner of the vehicle. Her father owned the car. The insurance company has contacted me and the claim has been denied because the person who hit me was not the owner. Is the owner or the driver responsible for the damages?

Both the owner and the driver are responsible for damages, but if their insurance won't cover it, you'll have to sue them in small claims court.
