Default slow insurance process?

Hello people,
I left my car parked at my apartment but when i got back home from work my car had been hit on the passenger side destroying the whole left side. Another driver claims he lost his breaks and slammed into my parked car. Now my car won't start, i contacted the insurance to let them know what happened but the guy told it would take 4-5 days for the adjuster to come out.

What i could do to make this faster and how can i get them to replace my car at kbb book value instead of nada book value?
Thank you so much.

Their investigations can take up to a month. If you are without a vehicle, get a rental car and put in a claim for reimbursement for that. Or, ask them to pay for your rental car up front, a lot of insurance companies have deals with rental car places.

Secondly, there's nothing you can do to get them to pay KBB value. That's not a publication used by the auto industry. Something closer to NADA is what you're going to get.
