Hi everyone,
Last year, my sister was at a stop sign with a car in front of her. That person went to pull out into traffic and then slammed on its breaks. As she was moving forward and rear-ended this car.

There was only extremely superficial damage to that car. They took pictures and nothing was ever filed with insurance companies, my sister's insurance did not even penalize her after reviewing the photos.

But now she has been notified that she is being sued for 80,000 dollars. Apparently the woman is claiming that she went to the hospital. The husband was not in the car, but he is participating.

What options i have now? Please help me to get out of this.

Your sister needs to report the lawsuit to her insurance company. They will appoint a lawyer to defend her in court up to her policy limits.
