Hello there, I am purchasing a home from a guy and have only a signed agreement between us, and I am making payments to him. But, recently. i found that he going through divorce process and his wife called me and claimed that he could not sell the home to me. She claims that as of May 31, no property was to be sold. I purchased in August. He says not to worry, he will work things out with his attorney. Please advice me of what to do to protect my home and payment?

In case, the home is marital property, then he had no right to sell the property to you. So, hire an experienced lawyer to protect your rights.
