I have custody of my daughter since she was born. Her father and I have never been married. I have a court order for child support on him. I didnt think I had to go and get legal papers of me having custody of her. He would come and get her for like a day then bring her back. Last year he asked if we could do a verbal agreement of a six month split. I agreed since he always brought her back and I havent had any problems with him. So she went with him. I went and picked her up and then she went back with him. But when I went to go and get her and he did not show up. He has changed his number, moved, and will not answer the phone at his job. Did I do the wrong thing by letting him keep her? what can i do? Please help me! I want my daughter back. Thanx for any help offered.

Such cases gets really complicated and your problem is also not going to get easier because he might walk into court and file for custody based on status quo.
