Default Tort case registered?

Hello friends,
At a restaurant, there was an altercation in which some of my friends were involved. I was there and it all started b/c I mouthed off to a guy who then proceeded to push me and get beat up by my friends. The other people went to the commissioner and filed bogus charges against me. The case was put on the stet docket and I got screwed by the lawyer. Now as I look up online my case records, it shows a tort case from this girl who got beat up and it is against me. It is open and has had one summons issued and then renewed recently. There is a court date set but I would not have known about it. So, what options now i have? Any advice will be greatly appreciated.
thanks for reading.

Very little you can do, if you'd like a default judgment against you. And the court date notification is usually sent on a postcard, that would easly be thrown away or lost. You MAY be able to get help through your homeowner's insurance company, if you have that.
