Default postponing dates?

Hi everyone,
I am looking for a legal way to push back or postpone a court date? Actually, I need more time to earn money in order to afford a lawyer.
Thanks in advance for any help!

Yes, it is possible. It's called a continuance. Just go to the courthouse and ask the court clerk. For a legitimate reason, it will be granted.
