Default Chapter 13 filed....

hi all,
during divorce, my mother's ex agrees to pay off credit card account. When asked about payments, he informed that she should get paperwork concerning his chapter 13. i wish to know how long does this process take and is he obligated to pay until this is processed?
thank you for any help.

it all depends, if she is obligated to the credit card companies or other debtors, regardless of the arrangements she made with his ex, they'll look to her if her ex does not pay. her deal with him does not take her off the hook with them.
