Default binding with a contract?

Hi people,
My 3 year contract expired in 2001, and I cancelled my cell phone service on 30 dec 06. According to Centennial Wireless, I owe them an additional 30 days of service. I am wondering if they can legally bind me to a contract that has been expired? Please advise.
Thank you.

Very dificult to answer w/o reading the details of contract/agreement. Contact a local attorney.
