I bought a brand new car and had it financed through a company not be named. My payment is to be made on th 13th of each month and as soon as it hits 10 days past due the harrasing phone calls start. its pure insanity they call all the time!!! monday i answered and spoke with a representative and i told them i would make a payment on friday. every day after i got a call in the morning and many other calls during the day yestarday alone i got calls at

Is this legal?? thats pure harassment!! i have not spoken with anyone since monday but i dont see why i should have to they have computer systems in place and they should see on my file that i spoke with them on monday and i would be making a payment of friday.

Ofcourse, you should have to make your payments on time. But, calling you that much in a single day is really unbelievable. Is it the same person calling you everytime or different each time? You must talk to your agent or the concerned authority.

Apparently they told me that im in the system and its a computer automated response that calls me for being late

FDCPA prevents them from using a telephone to harass or annoy a debtor. file a complaint at the FTC and read up on your FDCPA, you may be able to sue them in small claims court for about a $1,000 for the offense (i would use it to catch up those pesky car payments!).
