My ex-wife filed a restraining order against my GF for my property. she stated in the order that she had a violent past that she used drugs, was a drunk and that she had put a contract on her life.
Does anyone have an opinion on whether or not she should pursue this?

the statements made in documents filed with a court cannot form a basis for a defamation action. if those same statements were repeated to people outside of the courtroom setting, those acts may support an action for defamation, such as intentional infliction of emotional distress.
