I'm an independent consultant in IT. Worked for client Q for 1 year. My main assignment there was to design and implement an E-Commerce solution, which was successful and on-time. The client would be losing millions if this were not true. After my assignment was completed at client Q, I received a lucrative employment offer letter from client A. This offer was rescinded after client A spoke to a manager at client Q, who gave me a bad and false reference. Is this actionable? Thanks!

Have you spoke to any legal counsel? This really doesn't sound right to me!
