Default suing a prisoner??

hi,
My daughter was robbed at gun point and now suffers from PTSD. She has lost her job and had to be hospitalized 2 weeks ago for depression. She hasn't been able to work since the incident. The robber has been caught and confessed and is in prison right now. Can the robber be forced to pay damages?

surely you can file a civil suit, but it is very unlikely that she would recover anything as he is in prison. consult your case with a local attorney.
good lock!
