I am in the process of applying for US Citizenship but few years earlier, i was charged with Felony Theft. Last year, I decided to seal my records. When I inquired about becoming a citizen, i told the lawyer of this incident. The lawyer advised it still might come up and she would need to see the documents to determine if it would hinder me from receiving citizenship. Contacting courthouse, they said that they could not locate the records because they were sealed. Is there any other way to obtain these documents, if the gov. can view them, someone should be able to provide the records correct? If anyone can help, I would really appreciate it!

You would need to pay to have them unsealed, get the paperwork, then pay to have them resealed.
