Default one question please

Hello,
my name is lone and I have a question I'm hoping you can answer.

If someone brings an accusation against another...
regardless if the accusation is true or false,
and the accuser themselves are found to be a liar themselves,
does the case still stand in a court of law?

I have a friend who let's say was caught in the act of plagerism.
An accuser made this fact known,
but the accuser themselves was found lying about who they themselves said they were.

Would the accused still be found guilty or would the case be thrown out of court because the accuser was guilty of being a liar themselves?

thankyou for your answers to my dilemma..

lone
