Default time required for....???

hello experts,
i need to know if you are a perminent resident how long do you have to wait to become a citizen?

one has to live in the United States as a lawful permanent resident for at least five years before you qualify for citizenship.
but if you obtained your green card through an application for political asylum, the period is reduced to four years. If green card is through marriage to a U.S. citizen, and remain married and cohabitating with the citizen, the waiting period is three years.
