Default what to expect?

Hello guys,
My attorney caused my title 7 civil right case dismissed as he filed 1 day late. He is only covered for $100,000 but actual damages are around $200,000. He admitts his fault. So, what would be a realistic offer? Will I need any expert witnesses?
Thank you!

You probably don't have time to retain an expert, and may not have time to really prepare for trial. When you refer to the underline case, I'm not sure why you'd want to have that overturned, and I'm not clear on the basis for the motion. If you prevail, then you can recover those damages arising from the malpractice, which would not be capped at the 100,000 limits of insurance.
