Default lawyer stepping down!

hello everyone,
I am having a temporary custody of my 11 month old Granddaughter. I hired a private attny to protect this child from its parents.
During past months the attny did not enforce the court order. on pushing him to do something, he said I was rude and impatient and he was going to file a motion to withdraw from my case as of the next day. I cannot afford to hire another attny and will be trying to handle the case myself now.
Should I file a complaint with the State Bar Association against this attny and should I let the Judge know what's going on?
Thank you.
