I just sold a car and verbally told the buyer the condition of the car as the motor was in very bad shape. He looked it over for about 30 minutes and still wanted to buy. We signed the bill of sale. He paid me $1800 cash and I gave no receipt. So, i want to ask if I am liable for any tickets this car receives while he just left it in front of my house? am I liable to give him money back? Any advice would help great.
