Question Please Help Buyer Wants Money Back Plus!

I recently sold my car privately. Upon the selling of the car, I informed the buyer that there was a problen with the engine and that i was selling as is. The buyer is now trying to force me to take the vehicle back. Also trying to force me to pay the towing bill to remove the vehicle from my driveway at the time of sell and the bill where he had the car diagnosed for required maitenance. Am I lagally responsible for refunding the money of the purchase and\or the towing and maitenance bill?

If the deal was as is then he can't force you to get back your car. Let him take the legal action if you had all the agreement papers then very little he can do. Also, don't pay any bill for towing etc.

It was a verbal agreement. no paperwork. The purchaser left the car at a dealership and does not intend to return the car. He only wants to give me the title that has been signed over to him and leave it to me to reobtain the car.

Was there any eye-witness present at the time you made the verbal agreement? He can't force you to do what he wants. I think it will be in your interest to get free consultation from a local attorney of your state.
