Question what rights do I have/ Is she breaking the law?

An old friend purchased a car for me of which I didn’t as her to do but agreed. One month after the purchase she got into a new relationship and started to press me to give up my car so her name would be off the title and loan. I refused and so the next 6 months she calls me and harasses me telling me when to pay the loan, to pay it early (even before its due date let alone late). This goes on every month for 6 months! Then she tells me she moving and filed bankruptcy and that my car was included so I have to give it back. I told her she needs to show me something stating this is what happened and she refused. This was in Dec. Jan came and I told her I'm not paying the car loan until I know if this loan is charged off so I won't lose my money along with al the money over the pass 6 months I have already invested. By the 9th of the month I decided to pay it and deal with her as it comes. On my way to the bank she calls and tells me she did a voluntary repo so the bank wants my car. Once I gave it to her she tells me the bank said they can't take it without my signature! Now 2 months has passed and when I refused to sale it without some sort of agreement to pay me back what I invested in the car....she takes the car out of state somewhere and refuses to give me access to it! Is this legal being as both our names are on the title but her name is on the loan? And what rights do I have?

hi,
Since your name was on the title as well, so she can't refuse you to access the car. Simply, put a file against her or complaint with the police. Also, keep all the receipts of the payments you made safe. They will be requires in later stages.
Good luck!!
