some yrs ago, while moving to other state, an antique went missing. Suspected moving company. couldn't prove it. Antique which was insured went missing, filed report with insurance company. and they paid the claim. Then recently we got back our antique but now we don't have the money anymore to payback to co., so if company gets to know about all this, are we past the statute of limitations for prosecution?

if the insurance company learned of the situation they might be able to argue that the statute of limitations was tolled during the period when they were not aware that the antique had not in fact been stolen by the moving company. check the insurance policy terms.
