My dentist was pulling a tooth and got it out after a lot of tugging and frustration, but left about a one inch hole in my gums that is clearly visible. He told me it could be fixed with an expensive procedure that my insurance don't cover. Is this malpractice?

take xrays & records etc. to multiple dentists for an opinion if this procedure was done incorrectly, and how much it will cost to correct it.

Better take all your reports and visit a BDS. So that he will give a right suggestion for your problem. After getting the solution you can find whether the doctor has done a malpractice or not... If you finally find that he has done malpractice don't leave him file a case
