Hello members,
My dad was taken to a hospital for dehydration. He was having abdominal pain and diarrhea, was diagnosed with colon cancer and had surgery to remove the cancer immediately and was being treated by oncologist for chemo to make sure that the cancer did not travel any further than the wall of the colon. He went for chemo treatment and for 2 days had diarrhea that would not stop. My sister took him to Emergency room and they admitted him for dehydration. They hooked him to IV and started getting fluids back in him. Then they started to give him morphine even though he was allergic to morphine and they had him heavily medicated on pain medicine. He started to complain about his throat hurting. They took blood work, cat scans etc... could not stop the diarhea. My dad passed away 3 hrs after the DRs told us he was all ok. We believe he could have been saved if diagnosed properly.
Thank you!
