In the year 2003, I visit an oncologist as my WBC count was below normal. Bone Marrow biopsy didn't show anything. Infection specialist found nothing.
I lost a lot of weight, and started becoming anaemic. 2nd bone marrow biopsy found Hairy Cell Leukemia.

An UCLAs ongologist also confirmed that it was HCL. He says that he could have diagnosed me within 1 wk instead of 2yrs. During all this period, I had high fevers daily, massive headaches etc. So do I have a case as I feel that he should have diagnosed me earlier?

You must consult a med-mal attorney. I am afraid if the statute of limitations has run out and by your own admissions based on the date of discovery the SOL would have also run out. Actually, HCL is rare case, approx 2% of all leukemia is of this sort, it is slow growing. The original Oncologist did appropriate testing and referrals. It is possible that as it is so slow growing that you sought diagnosis early and that by the time you has spleenic involvement and other symptoms it became a diagnosis of exclusion. At this point it doesn't seem to be any mal-practice, just delayed diagnosis of a rare form of leukemia.
