Hi friends,
I went to a physical therapist for some back problems. I asked them if their service would be covered under my insurance and they said that it would be. After few visits I stopped going there. Then next day I received the first notice from my insurance company that indicated that the PT company was out of network. PT company acknowledged that this was true. I am on the hook for a large unexpected bill as my insurance doesn't pay much for out of network. I am considering suing them for deceptive business practices. Anyone having any advice in this matter?
Thank you.
Unless you have in written from the Physical Therapist's office stating that "you were covered",..... this will turn into a case. You also had a responsibility to check with Your insurance company to make sure that the provider was in network.
