Default stolen items sold.

hey guys,
I purchased 2 cell phones online from a private party and now the police apparently have arrested him for theft. I did not know they were stolen. can I be held liable for the return of the items or the money?

hi, no need to worry as you might got a phone call from the Secret Service with some standard questions about how many transactions you had with the seller etc.
