one of my close friend recently passed away and he left life insurance to his wife but he left a lot of debt in credit cards as well. so i wana know if she is able to get the insurance without paying this debt?
All CC are in my friend's name.

yeah, she will be able to get the money without any payment.

thats really sad, but no matter if the debts were ONLY in your friends name, TX is a community property state so the debts are just as much his wife's liability as there were his and ceditors will come after her to be paid.
