I have a Bank of America Business Credit Card and with high oustanding balance, I've been paying above the minimum each month regularly. Few months back, I got laid off and continued to pay for another two months, and I informed about my unemployment and if they could reduce my payments temporarily. The Interest Rate was around 23%, so they gave me a couple of months to pay the minimum balance at 12% plus the entire over-the-limit balance. I am still unemployed, and they ceased and zeroed out all balances on both the checking and savings accounts. Please reply if it is all legal? Can the Credit Card companies cease your personal accounts without any notification?

Yes, this is legal. Having a credit card with the same bank having checking or savings account with & getting behind on credit card payments, they will deduct what is owed from these accounts. It is probably written somewhere in your banking agreements which you agreed to.
