Default Credit Card Debt

Hello members,
My husband has become disabled recently and we are trying to obtain disability for him. I have a large amount of credit card debt and looking to selling a piece of property to get out of debt. But somehow the proceeds do not cover all of our debts. So, how to approach the credit card companies and to find if I can get some sort of settlement amount?
Thank you so much.

Usually, the customer service rep will not have the authority to do anything for you so long as the accounts are current. You can settle the accounts for less than the full balance if you allow the accounts to default then wait about 4 to 6 months before trying to settle.
You can consider hiring an attorney or a settlement professional to handle this for you. They will charge a fee for their service.

Don't worry , Just find an attorney, and state your conditions, initially the bank won't agree for settlement, for they w'll lose interest from your credit, so if you skip the payment they w'll consider abt settlement, and try to negotiate with them.
