Default promoter's protection??

Hello there,
I found some arts and crafts shows insist that a vendor sign a "hold harmless" agreement to participate in the show. I want to know if the promoter is protected by such an agreement? Can the agreement be broken by negligence of the promotor or staff?
Thanks.

It will depend on the clause wordings. The clauses mostly provide that you will repay the promoter for any damages caused by your negligence.
