My friend was murdered and the accused is currently in jail, plead 'not guilty' in the arraignment. I want to file a wrongful death suit against the scum. plz suggest me what should i do in this direction?

first go through the criminal trial. also, your attorney will be able to establish all the information.

yeah, first prove that the death was caused by the wrongful act of another person but it can be a daunting task, requiring the assertion of complicated legal theories.
also, prove the life expectancy of the deceased in order to determine what the future losses would be.
