Default copying rental DVDs?

hi there,
what if someone has copied hundreds of rental DVD's for use at his home. is this legal? Can only the owner of the copyright be the one that pursues someone?

ofcourse this is totally illegal. you can complain it to the Motion Picture Association of America.
